SCAM ALERT Long Term Care Insurance?

Consumer beware!  Products, characterized as "Service Agreements", are apparently being sold to people, which promise personal care services for a monthly or annual fee that is substantially below what a long term care policy would cost.  It is not clear if this is insurance, or something else.  

We are not implying that such a "Service Agreement" IS a Scam.  We are suggesting, however, that any prudent consumer who might be considering purchasing such an "agreement" from ANY COMPANY would want to ask some questions, including the following:

1. Exactly what services are being promised and how will the promised services compare with similar services provided through long term insurance?
2. Why and how is this being offered to me at such a low cost?
3. How am I guaranteed that I will receive these services when I need them?
